Lots has happened since last post,  to start i'm 11 now. The other day I had to get my 11 year old vaccines, which hurt allot.  My new favorite food is a DBLP (double bacon lettuce peppers) from subway,and remember my "Sweet, little, adorable" cat Penelope? we call her Lucy, short for Lucifer, because she is evil. She attacks my dog, knocks everything down, and its just plain mean  when your petting her and she attacks you. I'm currently going to feeding therapy with Rachel Best at Small Steps Therapy. Rachel is really nice. and is helping me with my picky eating.
     At my school, we are currently on our first day of Parcc testing. Has anyone ever heard of NECAP? Its just like NECAP but online.  Trust me, Its NOT fun. You may have known about the RIMEA All State Music Festival. I was in the Elementary Chorus that performed at the Vets memorial Sunday, March 22. My chorus teacher at school is Kristen Sackal, or Mrs. Sackal. She is very nice. She nominated me and 3 other girls in our 5th grade class to be in the All State Chorus. Only one was picked to actually be in the chorus, Which of course, was me. 3 other students from John Wickes elementary were chosen. We were in the news paper: The Warwick Beacon. Well thats all i have to blog about today. check again in about 1/2-1 year. Do you still remember my kitty I told you about in "Three Little Surprises"?  Yesterday we got her spayed. I felt so  bad because she is in so much pain, and she wont take her pain killer.
     Have any of you been watching Once Upon A Time? Its the best show ever! season 5 has started  weeks ago, so if your interested in starting it search it on Netflix.  P.S Elsa is in season 5!

]]><![CDATA[3 Little SURPRISES]]>Sun, 25 May 2014 21:33:21 GMThttp://www.kaelynizabella.com/my-life-with-t1d/3-little-surprisesSorry it has been a very long time since I have posted anything.  All last week I wave been sick, from Sunday to now.  I've had the stomach bug, but i'm not contagious. My sugars have been going wild! One minute I am 300, the next i'm 40, and the worst part is my doctor said it could last up to a week!   Well, my neighbor Chrissy found 3 kittens under her sisters porch. Ones name is Biter, she is a girl, Echo, he is a boy, and Penelope, she is also a girl. The best part of that is that I get to keep Penelope! She is so sweet and so gentle. Halloween is a very special holiday, it's the one day you get to be someone your not. Halloween is my favorite holiday ever besides my B-day, what's yours? Costumes are an important part of Halloween, I'm going to be a biker like my little cousin (I've mentioned her before) Kelsie. Makenzie (the best BFF a girl can have, and I'm so totally super happy she is mine) is going to be a black cat. I LOVE Halloween it's the best when you spend it trick-or-treating with your friends and family. I recentyl became a 4th grader at John Wicks Elementary! My teacher name is Mrs.Medeiros. She used to be a 6th grade teacher but now she is 4th and is awesome! An other awesome thing is Monday or Tueseday I get to eat lunch in my totaly awesome 3rd grade teacher Mrs.Bonetti's room! But even though there are two good parts there has to be two bad parts. One bad part is my BEST BFF Makenzie is not in my school anymore :-( . The other one is my friend (NOT BOY FRIEND PAPA!)Billy is not in my class:-( . On the other hand Layla my babby cousin is doing great she is a very healthy babby and that is what counts. Plus she gets cuter and cuter every day and has a lot of hair. I've been kind of busy. Today I would like to tell you about my trip to Alabama. Just this Sunday mom and I arrived in Huntsville Alabama to see my nana and papa. It was an especially long trip because we didn't get there by plane or jet,we got there by car. We had to go through lots of states like Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, and Tennessee. And finally we got to Alabama. But driving  to Alabama is such a long trip we needed to stop at a hotel in VA. Long story short never stay at Howard Jonson. Every time I checked my BG  in the car it was always in the 300's and mom had to give me extra insilin. That's because when I am not active my BG rises. Well I have to go now,but check back soon for a new post about whats happening in Alabama. Thursday  the 11th 2013  a very special event took place! My new baby cousin was just born! Her name is Layla, Layla Jeanne Keiser.  Layla is home from the hospital.  And in this picture is my first time seeing and holding her.  Also in this picture is my other cousin Kelsie who just became a big sister.  Kelsie also has T1D. And tomorrow I am speaking about diabetes at a golf tournament. Lots of professional golfers will be attending.                                                                                    Please check every Sunday for a new post.

]]><![CDATA[My Story]]>Sun, 07 Jul 2013 21:17:58 GMThttp://www.kaelynizabella.com/my-life-with-t1d/my-storyHi, my name is Kaelyn and I'm 9 years old.  I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes on February 4, 2010.  It all started when I was drinking and using the bathroom way too much. My mom took me to the pediatrician and the doctor gave me a urine test to check my glucose levels.  A few days later the doctor called and told my mom to bring me to the hospital right away.  There I found out that I had Type 1 Diabetes.  That's how it all began.  I stayed in the hospital until I could learn about how to take care of myself and my mommy had to give me 4 shots a day!!!  I learned in 2 days how to check my own sugar by pricking my finger and testing my blood with a glucose meter.  Since then, I have learned so much and have met so many other kids with T1D.  Life with diabetes isn't always easy but I have learned to deal with this and that it will not stop me from doing anything I want! ]]>
